Fastman has its origins in the period 2001-2. At that time Netbridge Solutions, part of the then AAG Technology Services Group, took on a partnership with OpenText to sell and implement the Livelink Document and Records Management solution. In the period 2002-5 Livelink was successfully implemented by Netbridge at clients such as Melbourne Water and Tenix, and the team involved established itself with OpenText clients across Australia and New Zealand.
By 2006 Netbridge Solutions had become Volante Solutions, part of Commander Communications. At that time a decision was made by Volante to concentrate on Microsoft products and as a result an opportunity presented itself for the establishment of Fastman as it is today – a focused ECM vendor offering solutions based on both OpenText and Microsoft technologies.
As Fastman we quickly extended our OpenText capabilities, grew our services into other areas such as .NET development and SharePoint, established reseller arrangements with relevant international vendors, and developed our own IP into products for resale. By 2008 we were awarded OpenText Partner of the Year for Asia/Pacific and achieved Platinum Partner status with OpenText, their highest partner level.
Our client base now includes Australian and international government and corporate organisations and our products and solutions are in use both within Australia / New Zealand and internationally.
From the very start we have maintained a policy of developing capability from within and delivering engagements using our own resources. This has meant ongoing investment in training, people and skills and has provided our team with opportunities to develop as Fastman grows.
